In conjunction with Nick's work openhouse, they had a Lagoon day today. Grandma watched Max for the day and Aunt Kristen tagged along to help watch the kids so Nick and I could ride a few thrilling rides--not that the dragon roller coaster isn't thrilling, but you know. It rained in the morning, but cleared up by about 11:00. We went to Lagoona-beach in the afternoon after the sun came out and had a great time, until the kid's reached their "I need a nap" point.Nick and I didn't get to ride as many rides as we were used to riding at an amusement park before kids came along, but I did get fairly familiar with Puff-the dragon coaster.
Sam screamed the entire time on most of the rides until he finally warmed up. As we walked around the park, I would see kids screaming on the rides and think, "why in the world are their parents making them ride that ride?" and then I remembered that I was one of those parents only 30 minutes earlier on the Red Baron airplanes. Even the ride attendant tried to talk me out of making Sam endure this ride, but I said, "no, he's like this with everything, he'll be fine." When Sam was still screaming after the ride was over, the attendant said, "I think he was scared."
Mabel loved the Dragonfly swing.
Sam riding the frog on the carousel.Overall it was a lot of fun, but tiring even though we left the park at 4:00--it was 3 hours past nap time. Lagoon is expensive, so even with the reduced price tickets, it would have been great to stay longer to "get our money's worth", but with a two and three year old, you just have to go with the flow.

Can see you had a wonderful day.
