I took the kids to Salina this weekend for a quick visit and we had a great time. I just went with the kids and Nick stayed home to help his mom and fulfill a few church responsibilities. Grandma showed the kids her classroom, grandpa took us flying and out for hamburgers and shakes, and the kids loved jumping on the trampoline. My mom gave me a few of her recipes so I could tackle my first Thanksgiving meal and helped me get some fun stuff ready for the kids for Thanksgiving. I think I have the best parents (grandparents) in the whole world.

Enjoying hamburgers and shakes at the local drive in.

Aren't my parents cute?

Grandma got the kids some new books that they absolutely love to read. Grandma is the best reading teacher in the state!

Thanks for a super fun weekend,Ashlee and kids. We loved having you here. Hope you have a great time on Thanksgiving with each other and Grandma Burst.
Have the greatest of all Thanksgivings.

Ash and the kids didn't have as much fun as I did. I truly loved having ya'll here and it was soooo fun doing things together. Even the Brrrrry temps. at the drive-in (outdoors) was fun. Max wasn't "May-Day-ing" very long....he actually loved the flight so much that he was lulled into dream-land. Ash, ya need to add your little Pilgrims to your blog, for those who don't get to see my blog. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and good-luck with your first Thanksgiving meal....I know you'll do great because you're such a great cook, and always have been, even as a youngster!!
Love, Mom/Grams
Your kiddos are getting so big. The plane ride looks fun. Good luck with your Thanksgiving feast
