I always disliked Halloween as a kid. I mostly hated dressing up (which I still don't like) and I really hated having my face covered with Halloween paint and wearing itchy wigs or hats. Over the years, I have come to appreciate Halloween a little more. I have actually gotten a little carried away this year. I'm throwing two Halloween parties in two days! One for the activity day girls and one for all the little kids in the neighborhood. I've asked myself many times why I'm doing all this...I guess it's because the fun of Halloween is for kids, and now that I've got a few, I'm willing to do anything to make things exciting for them...even if it is putting a lot of effort into a holiday I didn't like!
