On Saturday, we went to the zoo to celebrate Makenah's second birthday. Everyone was able to come except for my parents. It was a lot of fun. We have a zoo membership, but everytime we go we see something new. It was especially fun to see the cousins.
We saw the new baby elephant who is now two months old. It was a lot smaller than we expected it to be. The kids were very interested in listening to the volunteers talk about birds.
At church, Max is getting to be quite a handful (he's almost 15 months old). We have a very small nursery. There are only 4-5 kids in the whole nursery. So since I now teach primary and can't help Nick out with Max during his Elder's duties, we've asked the nursery leaders if Max can go in for the last 30-40 minutes of church. They agreed and said that he does really well. So, embarrassingly, we now have three kids in nursery! So of the 5-6 kids that show up, at least half the kids are ours!! We love our nursery leaders and really appreciate them watching the kids for us.
