We took a trip back in time today - way back in time. Back to the time of dinosaurs! We took the kids to the Ogden Dinosaur Park. We told them last night that we were going and they were very excited. We packed a lunch and picked up Grandma Burst on the way. The kids didn't even want to stop to pick up Grandma because they were so excited to get there. Once we got to the park the kids had a blast. The only issue we had was Mabel being petrified of the dinosaurs. She was scared of the dinosaur skeletons in the museum inside, and the "mystery trail", and the brontosaurus that we had to walk under to get to the potty. Some dinosaurs she was fine with, but others were just too scary. Sam and Max enjoyed all the dinosaurs. We ate at a picnic table in the park and then the kids had to test out the playground. The playground was just as important as the dinosaurs to them. It was a fun outing and thanks to a coupon we found on Facebook the kids got in for free (thank goodness for Google and Facebook!)
This was the second time we have been to the Dinosaur Park. We went two years ago (Aug 2007) when Mabel was just 18 months old and Sam was 2 months old. Sam was so little you can't even see him in the stroller.
That was then, and this is now. Max has inherited the stroller (he did a lot of walking though) and both Mabel and Sam are enjoying their stroller-free lives. Nick and I, embarrassingly, both wore the same pants then and now (at least they still fit). The giganotosaurus hasn't aged a bit.
