Mabel putting together her puzzle with daddy.
Sam showing off his pretty lips.

Max has been busy "practicing" his smile lately. Here's some of his most recent attempts. He might have to relearn how to smile once his teeth come in.

In Stake conference last weekend, the area authority counseled us to turn off the TV during dinner to promote conversation and family bonding. Unfortunately, dinner conversations around our house are rather lacking. However, Mabel and Sam have started paying great attention to what is printed on their shirts. So during tonight's dinner conversation, Mabel was telling us that Sam had Curious George and she had flowers. She was then in deep thought, and I asked her what she was thinking about and she told us that Tinkerbell was on her shirt yesterday. On that note, when we were eating dinner yesterday, Sam kept pointing at the picture on his shirt and saying "helicopter.....up in the sky".
If we aren't busy talking about their shirts, we're usually asking them if they have to go potty, if they just went potty, if they can sit down, or if they want anything to eat other than pickles and ranch. So, we've come to the conclusion that this is one of those commandments that doesn't make sense immediately, but we have faith that someday dinner conversations will blossom more than the flowers on Mabel's shirt.

Max sure does smile cute.
And I don't hink Mabel can take a bad picture.
Sam is so cute, we hope to be able to see him soon, and the other two cute ones as well. Thanks for lettign us borrow Nick, the girls sure did/do love him. Hopefully we can all meet up soon.
I can understand Sam's need for his bus in bed, RJ NEEDS a book, her flashlight, three to four stuffed animals, her special blanket, her babies pillow. I'm surprised that she still fits in the bed :)
So glad to see what's going on in your lives. Isn't it fun that each of your children has such a different personality, but also kind of the same. Whats the deal with the bus? That seems pretty manly to me. I used to sleep with my trucks when I was about his age.
See you this weekend.
Dad and Grampa
