July 24th Celebration

On Friday, July 23, everyone had the day off for work, so we headed over to Bountiful where Ryan and Kristen had planned a very fun filled day.  We started off by going to Ryan's church pavilion for a BBQ and some water slide fun.
Enjoying the hot dogs.

Ryan was our Master Chef Extraordinaire!

After lunch, Erica's brother, Lance brought a huge water slide (at least 100 feet long) and some dish soap for an afternoon of pure joy for all the kids.  Nick was sad that he didn't bring his swim suit.
We didn't get a whole lot of pictures because our camera battery died, but I bet Mabel and Sam climbed the hill and came down the slide about 50-75 times.  Nick finally pushed Max down the slide, but he suddenly stopped himself after about 5 feet and climbed back up crying.

After the BBQ, we headed to Kristen's house to watch the parade.  The parade was super long.  It lasted well over an hour and a half.  There was a cool helicopter flying really low that had a police siren that won the kids attention the most.  We had a great day.  Thanks to Ryan, Erica, and Kristen for planning such a fun day.
