Last week we got a flyer in the mail saying that the Kennecot Copper Mine was having a free event this week, so we jumped at the word "free" and took the family to see the mine. The kids loved watching the big trucks and the workers. The tire behind them in the above picture cost $25,000.
Max watching the workers in the mine. They had a large excavator and several dump trucks at work.
Inside the visitor's center they had a lot of toy trucks that the boys ogled for quite some time.
Afterwards we went to Artic Circle for an ice cream cone. It was a fun little outing.
On a separate note, the kids have been really into playing with babies lately. It started with Mabel playing with her baby all the time, then Sam, and finally Max has gotten into playing with the babies as well. It is very serious business taking care of babies.

They'll be able to take care of a real baby in a couple of months. Can't wait.
Almost all little boys grow up to be daddies, so why not practice along the way to daddy-hood. It's great to see a little gentleness in the male animal. Of course, all Anderson/Burst guys are gentle and loving.
The Kennecot adventure looks very educational and interesting. Glad you got to go.
Too cute! It looks like Max already has taking care of babies down :)!
Max is going to be a good daddy!
