Sometimes it seems that I am so busy disciplining the kids, trying to keep the peace in the house, and dealing with daily chores that it seems like the worst of times. However, sometimes I step back and let messes happen, a timeout slip, and screams ensue and magically it seems like the best of times.
This weekend, we let the kids play with an empty diaper box. Sam would climb in the box and then Mabel would sit on top of him.
Apparently everyone thought it was funny, except for Sam. I love the look on Max's face in this picture. But if you know Sam, he kinda deserved it!

But if you know Sam, he kinda deserved it!After trying to get Max to eat his cereal with no resolve, I stepped over to the fridge to get a glass of orange juice. While sipping I looked over and found Mabel shoving heaping spoonfuls of cereal in Max's mouth....and he was actually eating it...and liking it!
This weekend has made me realize how cute my kids are and how sweet some moments can be when you just let life happen!

Really thought Sam was was cute and understandable on the phone last night. Can't wait to hear Mabel sing.. I hope she will for us.

You speak great wisdom....I'm glad you're learning this at such a young "parent" age...it's takes many people a full lifetime to learn that and some never do. It took me much longer.
Enjoy those sweet little people you live with....they are sooooo precious.
