I guess it's pretty sad that one of the main ways we celebrated Valentine's Day was with food. But at least it made for a delicious day. We woke up with a couple inches of snow outside and Nick was sweet and made me pink heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast. We then went outside and shoveled snow for a while.
We then came in and gave the kids their Valentines of which they ate right away....needless to say they didn't want much for lunch. Nick gave me a box of chocolates and roses. And he got his usual 1/2 dozen bottles of coke and peanut M&Ms (the green kind, they're more romantic!)
For dinner, I set the table with our table cloth (which I never do) and we had ourselves a romantic candlelight dinner of fillet Mignon and steamed asparagus. However, the kids tried to blow the candles out during dinner, we had to remove the flowers because we couldn't see each other, and the table cloth is now in the laundry because Mabel spilled her Martinelle's during dinner (just another reminder of why I don't use our tablecloth very often). Notice the well placed hearts on the wall...Mabel and Sam hung the decorations this year.
And for dessert, I made chocolate covered strawberries. It was a fun day, but could have been better if we didn't have to discipline the kids for throwing toys, settle tantrums, and wipe the streams of snot coming from everyone's noses. Sadly, I thought more about whether or not we're done having kids yesterday, than I did about how much I love my chocolate covered cinnamon bear!

That looks like a very yummy valentines. I love table clothes, but I buy the $2.00 plastic ones at walmart and replace about once a month. Easy to wipe down only problem lately Brody pulling the table cloth off the table before it is cleared. I have had to clean a few messes because of that stinker.
Only 3 kids I don't think so, I bet you will have more than that.
Mmm..everything looks yummy. I'm coming to your house next year! :)
