Groundhogs

Yesterday, I took our three little groundhogs outside to find our shadows, for the holiday. It took them a little while to realize what a shadow actually was, but once they found it, they had fun watching it move.
Mabel just finding her shadow.

When I asked Sam where his shadow was, he touched the ground and said, "Here it is."

After shadow time, we went on a walk around the block. Even though we finally have blue sky and sunshine, it's still pretty cold so we couldn't walk as far as we wanted to. But, at least we know that spring is at least 6 weeks away!!

Hey Mabel and Sam. What fun it is to see your shadow. Darn we will have 6 more weeks of winter.

We surely miss all of you and Mabel what cute braids you have. You are growing up really fast looking forward to birthday number 3 on the 17th.

I had a lot of enjoyment reading your groundhog story. Now go to the library and get some shadow books to read to the kids. There are a number of good ones for kids.

How did you learn how to do the cute braids? Also, how patient was Mabel getting those done???? Very cute!!

Nice changes on your blog. How do you do the heading like that?

I like your new header and your recent family picture. Both look great!

Sometimes we forget that little kids don't know about things like shadows. It is so fun to watch them learn about new things isn't it!
