Three of a Kind

Now that Max can sit up, I've been taking pictures of all three of them together. I don't know where I've been for the last 5 1/2 months, but it just hit me that we have three kids now! That's a lot of little bodies, but they are all so fun in their own way. It's a lot of diapers, laundry, dishes, tantrums, runny noses, screaming fits, and hugs that I guess I've lost track of time. But I know that I am very blessed.

Max has now joined Mabel and Sam for bathtime. Max loves to play with the toys, Sam loves to help wash Max, and Mabel doesn't mind the lack of leg room.

All in the name of being a good dad, Nick has a nice shiner. While chasing Mabel and Sam around the house on his knees, he turned too quickly and met a sharp corner head on. He was seeing stars for a few minutes and after a day or two, it started turning red, purple, yellow, and green. Nick knew that people would start to ask him what happened so he started making up stories like, "I told Ashlee that she was eating too much chocolate...."

Nick had an especially good Christmas this year. He commented, "The kids weren't sick, you weren't pregnant...it was a good Christmas." Nick is amazing with the kids and I am lucky to have such a good husband, even if he does give me a hard time every now and then.
