Happy New Year 2009

Well, the new year has arrived!!! Welcome 2009. Max has learned to sit up in the past week and is really cute. Max especially loves toys and can just sit and entertain himself for several minutes. It seems that it is always a relief when the kids finally learn to sit up and they seem to enjoy life a little more (mom and dad enjoy life more too)!

Here's the three of 'em on the last day of 2008. They all make pretty good siblings for each other. Mabel loves playing with Sam and Max. If Max falls over while sitting up, Mabel will pull him back up and give him a hug.

Here's Sam and Dad at the New Year's Eve party we had at our house. My family came over and everyone pitched in on food. We had soup and ice cream sundaes, plus all the chocolate you could eat. We played "You Might Be a Redneck if...." and had a great time. We let Mabel and Sam stay up until 10:00 p.m. for the occassion, but they woke up New Years Day at 7:00 a.m. despite the later bedtime, so we hope they get caught up on their beauty sleep.

Cousin Makenah (almost 15 months old) came over to play....Sam loves playing with Makenah....if he's not telling her "no, no" then he's trying to get her to play with him on the slide or whatever he's playing with at the time. Makenah is such a good sport.

Sam recently discovered soda pop and he loves it. He had a huge soda mustache from drinking it. I guess he takes after his dad on his love for soda.

All in all we had a great 2008 and a great start to the New Year. We are so grateful for such a good family, immediate and extended, and love and appreciate everyone. We look forward to having another great year.
