Nick: This Saturday we celebrated my mom's birthday. After a full day of playing outside and doing yardwork we finally got to the birthday activities. As excpected, the kids were very helpful with opening the presents. Max found the package he liked best and got to work while Sam and Mabel helped Grandma.
After presents and dinner, we had the cake. Ashlee made a very cool snail cake, although the head was a little deranged. Again, the kids were very helpful with the candles. Happy birthday Mummo!
This evening we decided to go on a Sunday drive to the Oquirrh Mountain temple. There was a slight breeze that made it quite cool, but the temple was very pretty. Mabel was very disappointed that the gates to the temple grounds were locked and that we couldn't get to the fountain.
