Last night, a leprechaun came to our house and left tracks on the way to his pot of gold.
Get it? Pot of gold. Those are gold coins in plastic bags in the pot cupboard! That leprechaun is a clever fellow.
The kids were less than thrilled by his visit. Mabel's first comment was, "Oh, no.....how are we going to clean this up?"
I made green scrambled eggs for breakfast. The kids were also less than thrilled at this attempt at celebrating the holiday.
By afternoon, the curiosity got the best of them and they had to test for themselves how the leprechaun got in the house.
They retraced his steps several times and decided that he lives in our house!
In the defence of their less than thrilled reactions, Mabel and Sam both woke up with ear infections this morning. They complained all day about their ears hurting and even cried before I gave them some pain meds. This afternoon after the motrin wore off, they began to fever, and cry from pain, I finally decided to take them into the doctor. Sure enough they both have ear infections and are now on antibiotics. Hopefully they will start to feel better soon....and hopefully Max won't get an ear infection.
