Cookin' up a Bug-Storm!

Spring is not quite here, though both the kids and I wish it were.  They have been very creative now that we have run out of things to do inside the house....they enjoy cooking the most...bugs and toys, that is.  They will haul out all my pots and pans and put all their toys in them and be occupied for nearly an hour.
They always offer to let me taste test some of their marvelous creations!

Sam is pretty obsessed with bugs right now.  He has a stash of them that he carries with him nearly everywhere (the grocery store, to church, to bed).  In this picture, we are supposed to be reading stories, but we can all see what Sam is up to.
We took the family to the Clark Planitarium to see "Bugs in 3-D".  We had some free tickets and we thought that Sam would absolutely love it.  That's what we thought....he was crying and saying "bugs are stupid" and "I want to go home".  I think the 3-D was a little too much for him.  In one of the opening scenes, a praying mantis ate a fly which I think traumatized him.  Now, he has classified his bugs into two different catagories: good bugs and bad bugs (a.k.a. his praying mantis).

Mabel and Max have gotten a bad cold with a cough this week.  They are on the up and up and we hope Sam's minor cough doesn't get any worse.  Nick and I feel fine.  I had a check-up for the baby on Tuesday and things are good.  The due date is September 20 and I heard the cutest little heart beat.

Sam,

As far as I am concerned....all bugs are bad! We only need one classification. Well actually maybe two...ladybugs and butterflies are o.k. All the rest are bad with a capital B. Moths and spiders are on the top of the BAD list.
