The Scary Easter Bunny

Nick and I took the kids to go see the Easter Bunny for the first time today. Mabel and Sam were really excited about it all morning. But like we expected, excitement turned to terror once we got there. As we looked around the boutique, the Easter bunny wondered around playing with kids. Every time he got even remotely close, Mabel would tense up and hide. The highlight of the visit was when Mabel was hiding between a table and daddy's legs screaming, "let's go!!!!" Tears were streaming down her cheeks and her whole body was shaking uncontrollably.

Before we left, the kids shoveled the snow off the deck for us.

Sam has taken a sudden interest in the potty. I'm extremely worried because it took so long to potty train Mabel that I dread potty training Sam. He asks to go in and will even let us take off his diaper...he doesn't do his business yet, but at least he's on the potty. I'm somewhat hopeful that Mabel's example will encourage him, but I don't want to get my hopes up. He already thinks he needs to do everything Mabel does anyway, so we'll see what happens.

Max is not crawling yet, but is getting pretty close. He can roll and scootch around enough that he can move a little, but hasn't gotten the crawl motion down yet. He's getting to be more busy and interested in everything. He can't hold still and is always blabbering or screaming (happy screams, but they're loud and annoying).

I got our food storage in order this week. Smith's was having a great case lot sale so I stocked up. I was amazed at how much food we got for about $150. Our food storage isn't complete yet, but I'd say it's about 7o% there. If anything, it gives me peace of mind.

That bunny is scary. That would be wonderful if Sam learned to potty train. Good Luck!
