This year, Nick's birthday celebration spread over several days. On the Friday before, we went swimming as a family to a "different pool" than we usually go to, and went to Red Robin for hamburgers afterwards.....swimming always works up a monster appetite! On Sunday, Kristen and Mummo came over for a Superbowl party celebration.
On Tuesday, we had steak and crab for his big dinner. Nobody is much of a seafood fan at our house, but everyone gave it a try.
After breaking the crab body open, there was this brownish goo all over and everyone said, "what is that?" Our two year old, simply said, "Dat Poop". And sure enough he was probably right.
The kids helped him open his presents.
And blow out his candles. Happy Birthday, Nick!
