Mabel's Birthday

Mabel turned the big 7  this year.  And she is definitely growing up.  For her birthday breakfast, she requested pancakes with sausage hair, raisin eyes, and a smile with candles.  How did we do?

I was pretty lame this year with her birthday cake.  I sent her downstairs to get a cake mix out of the food storage and she was so sad that we only had chocolate cake mixes, that we ran to the store to get some vanilla cake mixes, but I figured by the time we ran to the store, we wouldn't have time to make a cake, so I let her pick out her own bakery cake.  She picked red velvet.  We picked out some icing and she wrote on it all by herself.  She thought that was pretty fun to write on her own cake!

On Saturday, we celebrated at Hollywood Connection with Aunt Kristen and Mummo.  They have an indoor roller coaster, merry-go-round and lots of other rides.

The boys played about three rounds of mini-golf.

The hot-air balloon ride did all the adults in and we had to send the kids by themselves.  Too much spinning in circles for us anymore!

Nick decided to give it one more go at the very end.  What a good dad!

Poor Alex was only tall enough to ride two rides, so by the time we left, the merry-go-round operator had his name memorized.  But he would come off the merry-go-round every time and say, "That was awesome!"

Mabel got Mario Kart for her birthday!  She was very excited!

Happy Birthday, Mabel!  We are so LUCKY to have you in our family!
