I can't believe that it has been over three weeks since Alex was born. It has been a very special time in our family. A newborn always brings such a sweet spirit into the home.
Alex has his own fan club. It is very hard to keep Mabel, Sam, and especially Max away from him. They all just love to look, touch, and kiss him all the time. They are all very helpful, too.
So far Alex has been an easy adjustment to the family. We still do everything that we're used to doing for the other three, and so far, it's kind of like, "what's one more?" The boys were thrown off when one of them had to hold the car seat while crossing the street instead of my hand, but now they fight over who gets to hold the car seat.
Alex is a noisy sleeper. He's had a cold for over a week now, and it seems like he snorts, grunts, and groans most of the night. I think you can see the sleep deprivation on Nick's face.
Max has a stronger infatuation with Alex than anyone else in the family. He just can't leave him alone. Sometimes, I have to ban Max from kissing him so much and it breaks my heart to see Max's sad face when I won't let him kiss him anymore. I asked Max if he knew Alex up in heaven and he said, "Yeah". Max has started getting interested in using the potty again. He is always asking to go, even though his pull-up is wet when we get there, he still has a lot left for the potty. Last night he even went "poo poo" in the potty and was so excited...it was completely his idea...I just hope he keeps it up.
Mabel is such a good helper with Alex and is always trying to pick him up when I'm not watching. She loves preschool and dance class and is always performing ballet dances for us.
Sam really likes Alex, but is much more reserved about it than the other two. Sam thinks that he is old enough to not take a nap anymore, but he can usually only skip a nap every other day.

Wow,great pix Ashlee. So good to see how Alex is growing and changing. The kidlets have such unique personalities. You and Nick need to sit down and count your blessings.
Dad
Alex looks so content with all the kids. He is filling out and changing and growing so fast. I loved all the pix and had to steal a few. Max has really changed too (and I just saw him a week ago). He looks so much older with that big cheshire (chessie-cat) grin. Yes sirree, he certainly does love Alex. And again....very adorable pix.
It's is fun to see how little Alex is growing and changing. Looks like life is going well with all the kids. It's fun to see how much they love their new brother.
Fun photos. It was great seeing you last week at the party. Thanks again for the gift. We'll see you next week.
He is so cute!
