Mabel has turned into the nap nazi. For some reason, in the last three days, she completely refuses to take a nap. So after about 45-60 minutes of taking her back to her bed over and over (Sam still hasn't fallen asleep by this point), I give up and let her stay awake so at least Sam can sleep. However, then mom gets no nap even though I'm tired and start to get ornery with the kids. The funny thing too, is that she got sick Sunday night, so you'd think she'd want to sleep more. On a lighter note, we got Sam his own booster chair today. For the past week or so, he's been climbing into Mabel's chair and thinks he's a big boy. He also wants her bed, so I think the dreaded time of putting him in a big bed is on the horizon (we'll see how that goes!). Mabel thinks she is big girl because she can climb on the exercise bike seat all by herself and says "Mommy, look. Big Girl."
I was suckered into buying some gift bags for a fundraiser for our elementary school yesterday. I have a hard time saying no to kids, especially ones that I know. Her response was "stuff" when I asked her what she was selling. So I got the cheapest thing she was selling and you can always use gift bags.
I have an Avon lady now. She stopped by a couple weeks ago and since I'm finally out of the Avon make-up my mom got for me 6-7 years ago, I thought it was time....I'm just sad to tell the Avon lady that I'll only be making an order about every year.
Nick is busy working on his yard projects for the year before it gets too cold. He stained the deck two weeks ago and will till up the garden soon. He is great to help out with the kids a lot. He can always tell by the look in my eye if it has been a rough day. Thanks, Nick...I love you!

Such a sweet picture. Your kids are so cute and growing up so fast! Can't believe your baby shower for Mabel was so long and 3 babies ago! :) Here's hoping Mabel gives in and naps today.
Gavin goes on and off naps mostly off but some weeks he will still take a nap if I am lucky. I make him have an hour quiet time he has a timer and when it goes off he can come out if he didn't fall asleep. That is works for me good luck.

Good luck with your little nap nazi! She is so darn cute! I wanted to clarify a few things with you. First you have not lost your BFF unless you are getting rid of me. Second I am not going anywhere (except to a different house) but other than that not a whole lot has changed. I just thought I would tell you that so you are aware of you situation! You are stuck with me!!
Nap Nazi... I love it! Emily still takes a nap but, I think those days are coming to an end when she learns how to open doors. About the Avon lady,I was told by a MiaMaid that I should wear makeup. I told her to call me when she has 4 kids! and the crazy thing was I actually DID have makeup on at mutual that night. I guess if it doesn't look like costume makeup it doesn't count.
