This year for New Year's Eve, we got back from a visit in Salina around 5:00 p.m. By 6:00 p.m. we were in full swing of a New Year's party....until 7:00 p.m. that is.
We were inspired by "Max and Ruby", the cartoon and had our own snowball dance, giggled with our head's on each other's tummies, and made clock cookies.
At about 6:45 p.m. we settled in the kitchen to decorate some plastic cups and fill them with Martinelli's sparkling apple cider. We set a timer to help the kids count down. At 7:00 p.m. we screamed and yelled "Happy New Year". We even went outside and banged a few pots and pans around, which must have confused the neighbors being five hours early.
We then got ready for bed and the kids were fast asleep by 8:00 p.m. (We had church at 9:00 a.m. the next day)! And Nick and I were comfortably snoozing by 10:30 p.m.
