Christmas is but a few short days away and the excitement continues to build around our house. We now have three count-downs to Christmas that are faithfully taken care of each day. Last week, we were inspired by "Max and Ruby" (the bunny cartoon, not to be confused with the real Max and Ruby in our family) to make snowflake cookies. The kids had a blast.....and I practiced my patience.
Sugar has become quite the guard dog and a large nuisance at that. Each afternoon during movie time, she sneaks upstairs (probably just to get away from the kids) and perches on top of the couch. Anything that moves, or has the potential to move, gets a stern warning from Sugar not to mess with this house!
On Friday we had a blast going to Provo to the Bean Museum. No, we didn't get a fine education on kidney, black, or pinto beans. The museum is named after some guy with the last name Bean. They have a ton of animals there. We scheduled a reptile show for our very own.
We saw a turtle, a blue-tongued skink, and a ball python. Sam was in Heaven!
We brought Makenah back with us for a sleep over on Friday night. On Saturday, all the family came up to watch Mabel in her dance recital. She did very well.
After the recital we had some lunch, play time with cousins, and presents from Grandma and Grandpa.
Grandma and Grandpa watched the kids for Nick and I on Saturday night so we could go to the Tabernacle Choir Concert. Thanks a million to Tido and Shannon for the tickets and to Grandma and Grandpa for babysitting. We enjoyed a WONDERFUL concert!!!
Today, Sam had a Christmas Program for his preschool. So we all got to go to see him sing. After they sung, Santa decided to stop in for a quick visit.
They sang "Rudolph", "Jingle Bells", and "We Wish you a Merry Christmas".
After all the preschool kids were done, they invited the younger siblings to also sit on Santa's lap.

It sounds like awesomeness abounded this Christmas season for the Bursts. We had a great time with you guys at Ruby's baby blessing and party. Enjoy the remainder of your Christmas break.
