Well, once again, life has been crazy, but tons of fun. Yesterday we celebrated Max's 3rd birthday!! Max is such a fun loving character and we love him to pieces. We invited Aunt Kristen and Mummo over after church to help us celebrate.
We ate Max's favorite of hot dogs, watermelon, grapes, a big veggie tray (it's true, this kid loves his fruits and vegetables), and potato chips. He even requested that we all wear party hats.
What's a birthday without a few presents?
This year Walmart helped us out with Max's cake. I was out of town until late Saturday afternoon and had no time....but Max got to pick out his own cake. He changed his mind at the last minute from Toy Story to Mickey Mouse.
Aunt Kristen taught the kids about the spanking machine. So after the kids all had a turn, the adults all took a turn too. That evening we played animal charades, t-ball in the back yard, and went on a short walk. After a bubble bath, we lit a few fireworks for his birthday. Max gets fireworks on his birthday every year since it's so close to pioneer day.
Saturday night, we went to a murder mystery luau at a friend's house. We dressed the parts of Leilani and Cheif Wiki Wiki. It was a ton of fun.
Earlier that week, we went to Salina (minus Nick) to visit. We went 4-wheeling, on airplane rides(Mabel even flew the plane...I was really impressed), played on the trampoline, and saw a parade. The kids got tons of candy. The best part about small town parades is that the parade turns around and comes back so you can see the other side of the floats!
Grandma came up last week to watch the kids while Alex got tubes in his ears (Nick was at scout camp). The kids love listening to stories on Grandma's ipad.
Alex's surgery went really well and really fast. He has recovered really well and hope that his ear infection frequency will decrease. Now, we need to see an allergist because this kid seems to be allergic to nuts.
