So for the past two weeks, we've been living in a yucky, smoggy inversion. Well, it finally snowed a little bit last night and today we had clear blue skies and sunshine. It just makes me realize how important sunshine is to lifting my (and the kids) spirits. While the kids were eating lunch, I decided to go outside and shovel some snow. The kids got so excited that they left their lunches on the table and came out to join me. They were so excited to be outside that they were riding their bike and 4-wheeler through the snow. Afterwards, I made a little sled hill for them in the back yard. They loved it even though the snow was icey and crusty. The temperature was about 45 degrees and the weather was beautiful.
I just pulled Max around the backyard in his sled because I couldn't get his sled to go down the "hill".
Max has decided that he only needs one nap a day now (as of this weekend). So he has been super onery this afternoon and has whined a lot, but it is too late to give him a nap now. I think I will just cut out his morning nap from now on so the afternoon will be more managable.
