Color My World

So the kids and I have been experimenting with food coloring for the last couple of days.  Yesterday, I filled their (minus Max who was napping) squirt bottles with a few drops of food coloring and went outside to paint the snow.  They absolutely loved it until their hands got cold.

Kinda looks like he's "marking his territory"!

The last few nights, I've been home alone with the kids and have given them baths (Nick usually gives the kids a bath).  Last night they had a very bubbly bubble bath.  They squeeled and played in all the suds.  Tonight, we added some green food coloring to the water to turn it green and they loved it, too.

This morning, I took Max to the doctor's office because he hasn't been feeling well lately and has been up at night crying.  He had infection in both ears.  So that probably explains why he doesn't look too happy in the pictures.  Nick has had a busy week with his new calling and I haven't seen him much and he has another meeting tomorrow night.  Lots of people from the ward keep calling for Nick for various things and I'm starting to feel like his personal secretary.  The kids have been really good for me in the evenings so it hasn't been too bad.

That is a great idea with the snow and food coloring. I have never thought about doing it in the bath, I thought it would change their skin colors. It has to be so hard to be the wife of a bishopric member. I know I can't do it I had a hard time when Chris was in scouts. I loved when he was realised and I put in YW and I got to leave the house while he stayed home with the kids. You have to be very strong person for the Lord to know you can handle all the kids alone all by yourself. At least you will get lot of wonderful blessings. Keep up the great work.

What fun ideas for your kids!! I know they love having you as a Mommy!! On St. Patty's day you should break out the green food coloring again. Make scrabbled eggs and put green food coloring in the eggs too! They will love it. ;0) I had a companion on my mission do, it tasted the same as normal scrabble eggs do. But I thought the did not look very tasty.
