What a week!

It seems like this past week has been particularly difficult for me.  I cut Mabel's hair last Monday and I think it turned out cute, but most people can't even tell that I cut off about two inches.

Sam was our difficult child this week.  He has thrown up for an entire week straight.  To go along with changing his bedding in the middle of the night, throwing up on the floor that I just mopped, getting thrown up on myself, and dealing with the smell (ewww), he has also had diareah and has pooped his pants several times.  I thought we were in the clear today, but he threw up again today at lunch and then to make things even better, he wet his bed during nap time, so it's fair to say that his entire bedding set has been in the washing machine 6 out of 7 days this week!

Besides finding a new use for the tupperware cupboard, Max has been recovering from his ear infection this week.  He finished his antibiotic this week.  He still has a snotty nose, but I guess it's perpetual in the winter.  He had his 18 month check up today and he is 33 inches long (72 percentile)  and weighs 26 lbs. 7 oz (62 percentile).  He still has infection in one ear and so we now have to give him an even stronger antibiotic.  Max doesn't talk much, even though he seems receptive.  We've taught him some sign language and uses it a little bit.  The doctor said that kids should definately be talking by the time they are two so he wants us to get him a hearing and speech test.

At the doctor's office, all the kids got their flu shots.  Mabel was really brave and didn't even flitch.  Max cried during the shots and then was just fine.  Sam, on the other hand, screamed while we took his pants off, during the shots, and for the rest of the time in the doctor's office and he insisted that I carry him to the car because his "leg hurt".  Once we got home, he continued to cry on and off for the next two hours as he limped around and insisted on being held.  He definately has a low pain tolerance.  I am definately ready for a week with at least no throw up!

Oh wow you guys have had a fun week. Mabel's hair looks really cute, you did a great job. Poor Sam, I remember getting my shots before kindergartan, i hid under the table at the dr. office and wouldn't come out, the nurse had to threaten me to make me come out. Then I limped around the rest of the day. So you can tell Sam I understand the feeling!!

Glad to see Sam let you put his sweater on. Mabel looks way cute with her new haircut. I could also tell right away. And little bruiser boy is all-boy, exploring all aspects of the cupboards. Hope everyone is well this week...no more upchucking. Did ya hear that, Sam!!

Love ya all.
