Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend we went down to Salina for Memorial Day. My mom teaches first grade and they are remodeling the school this summer, so she had to move all her teaching supplies out for the summer. So we went down to help her move.

Here's the kids in their patriotic matching outfits--We think Max looks like the Uncle Sam draft poster that says "we want you" in this picture. But this is the best pose I could get.

On Saturday, we went to the cemeteries in town to decorate the graves. Mabel is sitting on my dad's mom's headstone.

After the cemetery, we went to grandma's classroom to move. Mabel, Sam and Max actually loved the classroom--there was so much to do and play with. Mabel and Sam occupied themselves drawing on the dry-erase board.

Mom and Dad got us pizza for lunch. After lunch I took the kids home to take a nap while everyone else helped move. I felt bad when everyone came home with sore muscles and I felt just fine. We finished off the weekend by riding four-wheelers, jumping on the trampoline, playing Wii, and eating fresh baked cookies. Thanks again for a fun weekend, grandma and grandpa!
