Temple Square

Sunday evening, we loaded up the van and went to temple square for an outing. It was a great idea and we had a lot of fun, but I think the kids are still too young to appreciate it. Mabel was excited to see the temple, but kept saying "climbing". We had to tell her that we don't climb the temple....maybe she thought that's how Angel Moroni got up on top. When we went to see the Christ statue, Mabel was disrupting the reverence by saying "WOW, Stars!" as her voice echoed. Once she actually saw the Christ statue, she kept saying "Jesus, mad" in a mean voice. The only thing that Sam talked about was the water. He liked the reflecting pond and fountains the best.
We're trying to teach Mabel and Sam to hold hands so that when I go out alone, I can hold a car seat in one arm and then one of their hands while they hold the other one's hand....it works, but only as long as a 14 month old's attention span allows.
