The Evolution of Our Diaper Bag

Just one more way that the addition of Max to our family has changed things. The pink diaper bag on the left is the first one we had when there was only Mabel. We upgraded to the middle bag when Sam came along. And now with Max we upgraded once again. The new diaper bag is actually just a backpack (August is a great month to buy a backpack, by the way). That way we can have both hands free to handle the kids. It also has at least five separate comparments, instead of just one big one. One comparment is for toys, coloring books, crayons, etc. Another is for diapers (we have to carry three different sizes now). A third is for snacks and the rest are for miscellaneous things like first aid items (Mabel has been going through a lot of bandaids lately). We figure the next diaper bag upgrade will have to be to a camping backpack, but hopefully things won't come to that.
