Christmas/New Years

I'm a bit behind on my blogging, so hopefully this will catch you up on our December happenings.

We went to the lights at Thanksgiving Point, saw Santa's reindeer and had ice cream cones.

We went to Temple Square to see the lights.

Mabel had a piano performance at the "Golden Living" Center.  She played "Frosty the Snowman".

This picture is out of order, but here the kids are on Christmas Eve, setting out cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for all 9 reindeer.

Mabel had a dance recital.

The Saturday before Christmas, we went to Provo for the Anderson Christmas Party.  We reinacted the Christmas Story with their cousins.

And had a nice dinner along with fun games and a gift exchange.

Christmas morning 2012

Gramps Gralia included me and Mabel on the mis-matched socks this year!

The week after Christmas, we went to the elementary school to go sledding.

However, with a fresh powder of snow, it was hard to make our own tracks, so the kids started going down the frozen plastic slides in their snow pants....boy did they zoom...so they spent the rest of the time on the slides.

We went to Salina between Christmas and New Years to spend some time.  The kids had some great sledding fun...Salina style.  My dad tied some sleds to the back of the four wheeler.  We drove across the street to the empty school parking lot and the kids had a blast.  Small town living has HUGE advantages!

We also snuck down to the church and had a "snowball" fight with giant marshmallows.  Super fun!!

Since Nick and I can't stay up much past 11:00, we decided to head home on New Year's Eve and celebrate here.  We pulled some Christmas leftovers out of the fridge and had a small celebration!

At 8:00, we let the kids bang on pots and pans and yell.  Let's just say, they had a great time, meanwhile I'll be looking for a new pasta spoon!
