Autumn

Fall is upon us....colder temps, less daylight, and fun activities.  Whenever we rake leaves in the yard, it's entertaining to watch how quickly it is re-littered with more debris.  It's almost like when I clean the front room, I could set a timer and within 5 minutes it could look like I hadn't even spent the time cleaning it up.

For fall break, Kristen joined us for a small excusion to Logan.  We visited with family and got in a few activities.  We got a hotel and stayed one night.  The kids enjoyed the swimming.  On Thursday night, we went to the North Logan pumpkin walk.  The kids really liked it.

At the pumpkin walk....if you look close, you can see Mabel sporting her favorite blue eye shadow.  She applies it almost as much as Nick applies his chapstick!

Our favorite pumpkin walk display, the "Madagascar 3" display.

Max refused to get close the witch that was hanging around, he said, "I don't trust witches."  Max is a very smart kid....I don't trust witches either!

Our hotel room had cable tv.  The kids loved watching "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" and "Little Einsteins".

The hotel had a great breakfast buffet the next morning with eggs, sausage, waffles, cinnamon rolls, and more.  We really pigged out!

We then took the kids to the American West Heritage Center in Wellsville.  There was a corn maze, straw maze, straw jump (above), dark straw maze, giant slide, train, pony rides, and a gourd launcher.

It was a great trip.  It reminded me how nice Logan is...I kinda miss it up there (minus the cold temps).

Back at the home front, it is exhausting entertaining Max all day.  No matter how much fun stuff we do, he is always begging for more.  He keeps me pretty busy, as well as all the drop-offs and pick-ups we have going on.  Max loves preschool and really loves to paint and color.  He also loves doing science experiments, reading, playing games, and even enjoys shopping and helping me with chores.  Although somedays, I'm so relieved when I turn on the tv and he gets glued, because he's finally leaving me alone!

Sugar has made it her duty to "prewash" the dishes.  As we load the dishwasher, she is always licking anything off the plates she can scrounge.
