First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Sam's first day of Kindergarten.  Compared to one year ago, Sam has grown leaps and bounds and he was ready for Kindergarten.  He was excited and really wanted to go.

Once the bell rang, he got kind of nervous, but he did great!  After picking him up, I asked how his day went and he couldn't really even answer me.  He just seemed really overhelmed.  As we finished walking home, he told me more and more things he remembered and he really seemed to have a great time.  He really wants to go back tomorrow.

Everyone had Labor Day off, so we went to Layton and spent the day with Mummo.  We went to the Weber River Trail and had a great time.  We threw rocks into the river.

Sam helped save this small fish that was stuck in some shallow water.  We also saw two bright green frogs, lots of little minows, water striders, and even a water snake swimming in the river.  The boys thought this was the best outing in a long time!

We also saw three praying mantis.

We had a great Labor Day!
