The Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy Cross Paths

This year for Easter Brooke and Kristen came over on Thursday night/Friday morning and we headed to Salt Lake to see the new City Creek Center mall.  I coaxed the kids into going by talking up the Disney Store and in reality, that was the highlight for them second only to the play place at the food court.  That afternoon they were so excited to paint Easter eggs with Brooke and Kristen.  Brooke and Kristen did a great job keeping up with four kids dunking and pulling eggs out as fast as they could go.

We had a few egg wrapper things.  Yeah, we let the kids put the eggs in the boiling water by themselves....that's what kind of parents we are!

On Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa arrived.  Mabel has had a loose tooth for about 3-4 weeks.  We could see the new tooth coming in way behind her baby tooth.  Grandma who has been crowned with the "#1 Tooth Puller" title as a first grade teacher, had it pulled out in about 30 minutes after arriving!

Elizabeth, Mabel's friend has already lost several teeth, but was still really interested in seeing Mabel's tooth.

The tooth fairy stopped by on Saturday night and left a new princess toothbrush and four quarters.  At least that's the going rate, I hear.  I think our tooth fairy might be more generous on the first tooth than she will be on the rest!  Mabel now has two more loose teeth.  Hopefully they'll come out a little faster than the first one.

We were invited down to Tyler and Shannon's house for an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, but since Aliza came down with a contagious virus, they had to cancel on Wednesday.  Since I had collected about 20 pounds of candy for an egg hunt from Ryan and Kristen, we decided that the hunt must go on.  So we had it at our house.

One of the sweetest moments of the day was when Sam saw that Alex only had about six or seven eggs.  He then took about six or seven eggs from his bucket and gave them to Alex.  Now that's brotherly love!

The Easter party lunch.

On Sunday, we had church at 9:00 a.m. and I forgot to get any pictures of the kids in their church clothes.  That afternoon, we decided to go to temple square and walk around.  It was gorgeous weather and such a peaceful day.

This is what the kids did most of the time....played in the water.

We didn't get a chance to do many of our "extra curricular"  Easter activities,so on Monday night, we planted some "magic jelly beans".  On Tuesday morning, lollipops were growing where the kids planted their beans.  After picking them and bringing them in the house, we discovered that ants had also discovered them.....so much for trying.
