Thanksgiving 2011

For Thanksgiving this year, we went to Salina to see my parents.  All of my family was there except for Ryan and his family.  We had a rocking good time with a newborn, a 1 year old, a 2 year old, a 3 year old, two 4 year olds, a 5 year old, 8 adults, and two growling dogs.  Sugar and Princess were just comical!  Sugar wanted to be best friends with Princess, but Princess didn't reciprocate the feelings.  The house was constantly hopping!

Mabel and Max made place cards for everyone.

While the Thanksgiving was being prepared, the kids enjoyed the pleasant fall weather outside by jumping in the leaves and playing on the swing set.

Mabel and Makenah had a blast together.

Thanksgiving isn't Thanksgiving at the Andersons without chocolate pie!

On Friday, Kristen, Shannon and I went to Richfield to do a little Black Friday shopping.  That evening, Santa came to the fire station for a visit.  The kids were prepared with their lists.

Sam wasn't one bit scared.  He bravely and confidently asked Santa for a real bearded dragon.

Mabel was careful not to make eye contact with Santa as she carefully asked for a princess castle.

Max bravely asked for a "BD gun".  Santa replied with "You'll shoot your eye out!"

Alex just sat there and claimed his candy cane.

After church today, we set up our Christmas tree.  The kids had a blast.  It should be fun this year trying to keep Alex and Sugar from destroying it.

I love watching them get so excited over everything.

While decorating, I gave Alex a sucker to keep him happy.  Sugar is kind of a bully to Alex and is always trying to take "candy from a baby".

She succeeded, but Alex must have shot back and got her right between the eyes!
