This and That

Today for lunch we had macaroni and cheese.  Max, who hasn't had much of an appetite lately, had three helpings and loved every bit.
These are also some of the cutest smiles I've gotten out of Max for a long time.  It's amazing how good you feel when you have a full tummy.

Last week seemed really hectic.  So we're hoping for a better week this week, but things already seem like their off to a better start.  I finally cleaned up my basement after Mabel's big party (I know, it took me a week to get to it).  We also finally got to return Sam's Godzilla movie to the library!  However, he got King Kong this time, so I think we'll have more monsters and growling this week.  Mabel and Sam are convinced that there are monsters under their bed, even after we got them night lights.

Nick has been super busy and stressed at work for the last few weeks trying to get everything done for a big meeting on Friday, so he gets to work around 6:00a.m. every morning if not before and stays as late as he can.  Usually when he gets home, we have enough time to eat dinner before he's out the door again for church meetings or activities.  Church is really not too bad.  It is probably actually one of my easier days of the week.  Besides getting everyone fed, dressed, and out the door by 8:45 a.m, if we can make it through sacrament meeting, I'm set for the day.  This is the first time since Mabel was born that we don't have to care for a child during the second and third hours of church.  And for a tired mother, it makes all the difference in the world.  After church, we have lunch and then we go down for naps.  Around the time that the kids start to wake up, Nick gets home from church.

I've had the taxes done for over two weeks now, but haven't mailed them off yet.  So today, my goal is to address the envelopes!  On a scary note, they asked me to speak in Stake Conference!  Luckily it's just for the adult session on Saturday so it shouldn't be too bad.  Well, off to do the rest of my chores.

I'll second Kristen's remarks with one more added "cute"!! I love how smiley Max looks with his Mac n Cheese face. I'm really glad that things seem to be going well for the time being.
